A very practical yet ingenious addition is the pair of side nightstands that lift pneumatically. Each table sinks into the bed’s upholstered surface, allowing it to serve as a stand for a plate or a drink. The table can be finished with natural veneer in any color or with a lacquer in high gloss or semi-matte. The bed’s headboard is flat at the back, so the bed can be pushed right up to the wall without difficulty. This is a practical answer to fully round beds, which cannot be pushed against a wall due to their shape. Another advantage of the bed is a bedding storage compartment located under the mattress. It is lifted by gas struts installed beneath the slatted frame. The bed’s headboard is upholstered in eight elegant rectangular panels.
